About Angela Powers
Animal lover, yoga teacher, food pantry volunteer, professional artist, and now: online store entrepreneur. That is Angela Powers and Purple Bird. Why Purple Bird? "Let your art spirit soar." -as an art teacher I would say this to my students allowing freedom of expression, encouraging creativity. Purple is the color of creatives. In yoga, purple represents the best of our human self, dedication, service to others, sensitivity, nurturing and profound peace. The purple bird, (purple martin) represents peaceful cooperation and precise team work. A group of Purple Martins live together in harmony in a martin house. Purple Bird it is!
Purple Bird Art are reproductions of my oil paintings on canvas, bags, stationary and other artsy things. This mixed media process on canvas, is a digital reproduction of my original oil paintings enhanced with acrylic paint and varnished with a gel medium resulting in the look of the original oil at a fraction of the price. This makes my art more accessible to all. Most any piece can be done on any size canvas, keeping in mind a rectangle or square orientation. Orders welcome.
